Please determine the appropriate division according to your age as of November 15, 2017.

All repertoire must be memorized unless indicated otherwise.

Unless specified in the repertoire requirements, no repeats are to be taken. However D.C. & D.S. should be taken.  When specific editions are recommended, participants must use those editions. If no edition is listed, please use modern editions avoiding heavily edited editions.


CELLO

PRIMARY (Age 10 and under)

VIOLA

YOUNG ARTIST (Age 22 and under) Applicants are eligible to participate if they have not yet completed their undergraduate degree. 

  • J.S. Bach: 1st movement from any Bach solo suite (originally for cello)
  • First  Movement of a Major Concerto (i.e. Hoffmeister, Vanhal, Stamitz, Walton or Bartok)
  • Gluck: Melody from Orfeo (arranged Alan H. Arnold) Available at Boosey Hawkes

VIOLIN
